My Story

My Story

Manifesting the Message

As an advertising designer, videographer and storyteller, I am known for creative that captures the human condition. I believe my role is to distill complex, big ideas into high-impact, succinct concepts for our clients. Knowing when all possibilities have been vetted and moving on to the implementation of the best nugget of an idea. I've taught and I've studied best practices and most recently I've honed my discipline in coursework at The California College of the Arts, becoming a ‘Fellow in Design Thinking’ there.

I’ve won Addys, Tellys, Adrians, Davey's and Obies in my ‘traditional advertising’ career at agencies large (Madison Avenue) and small (and 'fighting fit') on both coasts and in the Midwest. My clients have included AT&T, KFC, Wendy's, Motorola, Coca-Cola, Anheuser Busch and Kodak, as well as work for several regional accounts in healthcare, tourism and mass transit.

I have chosen to expand my expertise in shooting and editing, as well. So, along with the print work and TV spots I present here, I also include extensive work which has been  shot and edited by myownself.

And lastly, thank you for reading this. I’d like for this site to give you a good sense of what I am about. LinkedIn profile? Not easy to wade through: where I studied, where I taught, what I've won, who recommends me. All well and good. But I’d rather my work speak for itself, so I'm glad you are here. Go ahead and dig in.

"For me, the most rewarding thing about the ad business is the talented people we get to work with. Wallace Boss rises to the top of my “most talented colleague of all time” list. So far we’ve worked at 3 agencies together. I knew Wallace first as an amazing art director/designer. Over the years he has grown into an award winning photographer, videographer, film editor and writer. He’s prolific. He’s strategic. Most of all, he’s wildly creative. In this age where creative content is a strategic imperative, Wallace is the kind of guy you want on your team."
